I was told that there is an app that I can go to and add money to my son's account for the NX, or I can buy stamps and other items for him. Does anyone know about this?

My recruit arrived at RTC on Sept. 19 of this year. Division 426, Training Group 51, which jives with the explanation on this website as to how TG's are numbered (First week of October being Week 1).

My recruit arrived at Boot Camp on September 19, 2022, two weeks ago. Still have not received the form letter with his ship and division so therefore, no address yet. I've read this should happen within a week to 10 days. Should I be concerned? I appreciate your reply.

My Daughter arrived at RTC boot camp on 08/16th 2022

I have not heard from her in about 5 weeks. I know they do not have access to their phones while in boot camp.

Any help would be appreciated.

Our son went into RTC on Nov 8, 2021. He actually got to call us last Tuesday, Nov 23, as recognition for effort from his RDC. He mentioned that he had mailed the Form Letter on Monday, Nov 22. We still have not received it. Is that normal for the mail to take so long from RTC? Any input would be helpful.

So, I have a question. My son is attending boot camp now. We just received his form letter in the mail that contains the mailing address we are to use while he is there; which leads to my question. Everything I have read indicates we are to use the Ship # and Division # when addressing the letter, but the form we received has the ship name listed instead of the Ship number. To add to the confusion, the envelope has the ship # listed in the return address. We just want to make sure we are…

My boy just went into pre-BT quaruntine on Monday night. Curious if anyone has any insight as to what their days are like? This dude will struggle if its just "sit around in a room" all day/night. I hope they are working them out, etc.

Anyone have anyone go through it recently?

Please remove this if it's breaking any rules for posting. A link of this documentary was sent to me yesterday by my Sister. Wish we all had seen it prior to my son shipping off to RTC. He is 4 1/2 weeks in and appears to be doing fine. His 1st letter home spoke of him not being prepared for the emotional stress of those first few weeks. I believe this video is a must see for most Seaman Recruits prior and definitely informative for parents.

My daughter leaves in nine days I think we have prepared everything for her to make the transition into the military smooth. We set up a Navy FCU account for her, we have also gotten the basic female hygiene necessities that she is allowed to bring with her. My question is she I send her with a prepaid phone card, and is their any suggestions of things that we need to do before she leaves. Thanks in advance for any input.

my Son just got his Rate of AD taken away 3rd week of bootcamp based on the color test with the numbers and dots. I do not know if there is any way to get them to do the farnsworth lamp test which they used to use when you failed the ishihara dots test. Do not know if there is anything I can do. Very sad and frustrated. Think they are now making him an APAC which tells me undesignated and screwed. Wow, sure am glad meps passed him on that test to get him in.
