I recently returned from a TC, we took (free) airport shuttle to our hotel, then the free shuttle back to the airport to pick up the Navy shuttle to the ship. They ran 2-3 shuttles all morning until they picked us all up. They made sure to always have a shuttle there, so they were easy to find. You are in good hands with our Navy!!

-- I ride local transit whenever I can, get in touch with the local scene.

Didn't even consider the shuttles and cabs at $50 -- took the city bus to the base for $2, and met some locals working on the base.

Lots of ways to get from JAX to Mayport - walking the 20 miles is not an option.

And the Tiger Cruise was - AMAZING- get there however - but BE there.

DO IT - and advise all your sailors friends and relations to GO FOR it.

Take the cheapest bus. Or cheapest airfare. Sleep overnight on the street and take the dollar city bus to Mayport -- BE there.
