Ship 07 Div272 PIR 8-26 Phone Call

Alex called at 1:15pm to my office. They had limited PX privledges, hair cut and were surprizer by being able to call. Sounded great. He can see the end of the tunnel, now, and feels confident they are going to make "If we can just get everyone to work as a teem" SOS. We talked for 20min. Awesome. Says chow too full of carbs and has gained 3lb, but, he did 1 min faster in the PT run.

He had some trouble with shin splints and was freaked it may be stress fractures. After a week of light duty, everything is fine. Except his ***** Boots hurt. How I remember.

He says a good part of his company are all going to Corpsman school and on to Marine Force Corpsman training. So he will be with quite a few he already knows.

Next week is Battle Stations. We all need to pull for them ans send encouraging letters of how proud we are of them and know they will do well. Shortly, we will be with then at PIR.
