Indeed, I was watching this on the news this morning. Prayers to his family.

Definitely, my son Aaron graduated in '07 and Holly in '08. It's great having her here even though she's spending a ton of time catching up with all of her friends. Thank Kevin for us also and we should definitely connect up sometime.

Hey Kirk
All three of our kids went to Columbia and Rangeview. Kevin graduated from Rangeview in 07 and may have gone to school with her. This has been a great adventure for Kevin. Thank Holly for serving these sailors are making our home land safe for all of us and I'm proud of them. We need to figure out a way to get together. Enjoy Holl'ys leave and we'll connect.

Hi Kevin, wow we're super close. The closest cross streets would be Hampden and Buckly. We're behind Columbia Middle School. Holly graduated in July, went to Pcola for A School, and is actually home right now on leave. She heads out later this month for her first assignment on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Sounds like she might be doing a world cruise and then the Abe Lincoln goes in for a 3 year re-fit and she'll most likely be reassigned to another ship or she'll go for more training.

Where in Aurora, we're off Hampden and Chambers. Our son graduated from boot in June went to S.A. for A school and is now stationed in Bahrain for 2years as an M.A.

My daughter Holly shipped out for Great Lakes today (5/11/09), after basic she's off to Pcola to train for ABE. We live in Aurora. When she said she wanted to join up I totally supported her decision. She had to get a couple of clearances from the doc for childhood asthma and a very minor scoliosis, but she was dogged in getting it all done as quickly as possible. I'm very proud of her. This is a very strange feeling for me....

Our youngest, Chris, is a 3rd generation sailor who attended Great Lakes. Quite a bit has changed since being in VN years ago and NEVER having been on a ship but we're just as proud of him. He went to West Point out of high school and unfortunately (or maybe not), he just wasn't ready and/or didn't like the rich kids attitude and what Seniors there could do with no recourse. He's a nuke puke now and studying for Chief. Just paid off all his debts and bought a new home! Very proud of him and all is brains. His grandad was a MM at the end of WW2 so I'm certain grandad is all puffed up over his grandson. Our daughter and other son are Army vets.

I am looking to meet any Colorado Dads out there. My daughter Samantha is in Pcola waiting to class up. Her rating is a CTT. We currently live in Arvada. Just looking to talk with someone close by with a sailor serving our country.
