I am Paul...son is the younger (almost 19) and was first but he was so impressed by what Navy offers he convinced his older (4 years) sister to join. She then convinced her fiance (PIR done 9-12-08) to join where their A school will both be at P'cola. WOW, my own "tres' amigos!!"

You should be proud of them Craig! They are doing a great service for their country that the vast majority of kids of that age don't even consider....so you get to do two PIRs as did I! That is awesome!

I thought I might start this group for those of us that are lucky enough to have daughters serving. I am blessed to have have Kat serving as a media specialist on the Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72)- she writes for the ship newspaper (the Penny Press) and has a radio show as well. It's not easy for a women to join the predominately male Navy and succeed-- it's a testimonly to theri strength and perseverance. Hats off too all of us that are fortunate enough to share in this journey!!
