Anyone out there from Newnan?
Made it to Great Lakes for PIR. It has been snowing like crazy since we got to Navy Lodge this morning. 4' to 8" are expected. Man i would sure like to have my 4-wheeler up here. :)
22 mar 13 we are looking forward to that day. I have two sons and the other one is joining the ARMY in July.
When is your SR's PIR?
Hello Carri,
we are from Homer. It's a small town 60 miles northeast of atlanta.
Welcome Anthony, Where are you from? I'm currently live in Blackshear,Georgia but I'm originally from Washington Georgia. Our SR will have PIR on 2/8/13, we are looking forward to seeing him this coming friday.
Hello all Georgia Navy Dads,
My son is in ship 014 division 121/122. we received our first phone call yesterday and he seemed a little tired.
We got a letter today from SR NEWBY Ship 03 Div. 091. :) Letter was dated 1/9/13 which was last wednesday (WEEK 3 DAY 1). He said they got their second haircut today(last wednesday), high and tight with one more hair cut to go before graduation. He said next wednesday (yesterday) they would be starting markmanship training. Tomorrow (last thursday) they went to get photos for their I.D.'s and they went to classification classes where they find out everything they need to know about their job. Great to hear from him.
We got a call from our SR a few minutes ago, got to talk to him for about 15 minutes. Mama ws happy, me too :)
