Our Goal

After talking with many of you I've realized that our sailors and/or their families often run into tough patches and could use a hand to help them through tough times. Whether it be financial, spiritual, or just feeling down about something or someone, we want to develop a list of resources that are available for them to get some support and help in dealing with a life crisis. We invite any of you to use these resources to help and if you find a link we don't have, please add it so we can aid someone else.

I'm trying to develop the links for the various resources, but my paid job keeps getting in the way for some reason !!!!!!  If you post them, I'll try to get them into the Our Goal area.....

Wanted to thank all that recently joined.  We don't have all the answers....matter of fact we have very few- that is why I asked for YOUR input and for resources you may have used or have told someone else about.

I'm hoping to generate a list of links when I get a few minutes- since you have the link it'll make it easy! Thanks! There are more PTS sufferers out there than many realize

Camp Hope - PTSD Foundation of America

This may have already been posted in earlier comments but this link should be bookmarked now so you don't have to go looking for it later if you need it.

I hope no one ever needs this but its good to know they are out there. This is not just for veterans, they work with active duty as well.

Here's the "rest of the story" from the BGEA, which interviewed Louis and produced this video. http://billygraham.org/video/louis-zamperini-captured-by-grace/?SOU...

Haha, just noticed that after my last post. In Unbroken, Louis Z returns home excited and ready to move on, but finds his prison tormentors in his dreams every night. So Louis seeks some relief through years of heavy drinking, but still no real peace. Just like many vets of most wars. It was taking a heavy toll on their marriage and family life, and a divorce was imminent. A real breakthrough happened when Louis attended a Bill Graham crusade, and he was confronted by the grace, mercy, and healing of Christ. Years later, Louis returned to Japan to forgive his captors and share the good news of Christ with them! Amazing true story!
