Shane - yes our son graduates on the 5th - unfortuntely, after a lot of umming and ahhing we won't be attending. Our son's name is Andrew and he says he knows your son.

Daryl - having done a little reasearch, as well as scuba diving and sailing, I'm hoping he'll take up golf ! I iamgine if you don't take up a hobby or sport, it could get boring after a while as it's not a very big island

Best wishes to him. Glad Nick & Matt will know someone there. My brother (Matt's dad) is planning on visiting sometime this Summer. I might try doing a trip too. Sounds like it might be awhile between visits after that.

Hey Tess, yea he is heading to the base. He took leave over Christmas and New Years once completing Boot! Once he gets settled we will go and see him. When we are there we will take both Matt and Nick out for dinner or something. Have a great weekend. DH

Daryl,
Is Nick coming home on leave or is he heading straight to base?
Take care.

Thanks a lot Terry! I wish we could have made the ceremony today. However, he will be stationed close to home. Take care to all the graduates (present and past) and have a great weekend. DH

Congrats, Daryl on your son's MA graduation! The pinning ceremony is really a great experience. Our son graduated on Feb 19 and we had a blast! Again, congrats!

That's really cool about getting selected for MWD, I had a good friend that did that for 20yrs in the Navy. Was a Kennel master when he retired.

Hey everyone. My son's pinning is on March 12. Anyone else?

He gets two weeks leave and then back to SA for MWD (military working dogs) training. He's very excited he was selected for MWD.

Terry:

Yeah, I know that they well do good wherever they wind up. I was just wishing the kid was going to be closer to home for awhile. I guess I am still having the seperation issues but I know the longer he is gone the better I am doing etc. Also it's a big wide world out there.
