Looks like we're heading to SA to pin the boy on 2/19. He got his orders and happy to say we are all happy about the location! For those who went to Haiti to help, God Bless them all.

I just came back from giving an inspection to a unit in the US Naval Sea Cadets. While I was there, there were two MAA's who just got out of A School in SA. They both said the same things, the CS Spray sucks but you get through it and it is over with, the school was a lot of fun. And more importantly, they both said that the grades are important if you are active duty and not active duty reserves! Most of their class picked some sort of duty with the USMC and they both said the instructors build this duty assignment up. But........their friends assigned said don't do it, just go with what you get on the dream sheet if you study hard!

Hey everyone. I'm new to the group. My son Chris graduated boot camp on 1/8 and is now in SA waiting to get classed up, which should be next week.
