My son is just finishing up bootcamp and will then go to A school to become a Corpsman. We are so proud of the path he is on and can't wait to go to his PIR on 9/10/2010. I served in the Army and always had a soft spot for our "docs".

Dellevoet,
Your son will love it there. Marty's boy has been there for 3 months now and is loving life. Off base housing and near the beaches. Good deal!

At HM A school in San Diego in 1965. As you walked down the hall there was a wall of Corpsman who won the Medal of Honor. It always made you proud.

Our son is currently in Pensacola for AVT training. He is then going to San Diego for FMSS and then will be assigned to 3rd MAW in Yuma. Are there others out there whose sailors have been on a similar path?

June 17, 2010 Our kids will celebrate the birthday of the Hospital Corpsman. Yes, we should send a card and wish them a Happy Birthday! On a personal note, I remember that date so well for that is the date I swore in and took oath to serve my country (USN) in Denver 24 yrs ago. No I had no idea what I was getting into other than there was a need to surive and since that date my life has been an event full of adventure. Gee it wild to see how life is cyclic 20+ years later now my sons are now following simular foot stops which I was given at their age. As a parent. it is my hope and dreams as they travel the path of life they too suceeed and improve upon the results of the life lessons that I learned.
