You are so right, the story is totally different when it is your children. Despite ones best efforts to raise them right, it is easy to let go in theory, but so much harder in practice.

Lynda,

Wow, I too left home at 18 and never looked back and there was no fear. However, now that I am a mom of two boys, the story is totally different and wish I could pull them back re write their story. No it is not easy but we provided them with the best tools and now it is time for them to draft their own story..

Lynda, I too have been going through some tuff times, it always amazes me how these things pop up when I need them, so I just decided since they were helping me, I would share them.  I'm glad they've helped you.  Have you ever heard of GodVine?  they send me a e-mail each day, it's wonderful and often just what I need to hear.

Well, Blondie, I don't know if you sent that message specifically for me, but it certainly feels like you did. I am going through some major changes now, and sometimes, as we get older, it is difficult to step out of the know and safe into the unknown.

I was 18 when I left home and joined the Navy, and I never gave it a second thought.  Now my daughter is in the Navy, and I think about her all the time.

On this day, God wants you to know
... that change is the very nature of life, - welcome it. No glass ever became sand again; No bread ever became wheat; No ripened fruit ever became a flower. Welcome change, and choose what kind of glass you create, what kind of bread you bake, what kind of fruit you harvest...

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." - 1 Corinthians 13:4,7

With love and Jesus, there is always hope left in the world. ♥

Amen!

last week I was fretting over buying a different car, I was having anxiety attacks!  and I felt God's calm come over me and heard Trust Me.  I've had one problem after another and hubby said maybe it was the devil fouling ya.  THAT'S why I come here for support, I told Hubby you have to believe and Trust.  I have no room for doublts!

A couple of months ago I was praying for my daughter, and 3 friends who all have breast cancer.  I was also praying about some important decisions that I had to make and possible changes in my life, and clear as anything, not audible, but in my mind, God told me quite simply, "I got this."   In 3 little words He reminded me that He has got it all, and as your post says, Blondie, He doesn't need our help. I try to remember that. As His word says:

Be Still and Know that I Am God. Psalm 46:10/
