Crystal, It's great hearing from you I'm happy that it's all working out. Firsts are always sad but enlightening too.  My heart is with you both and You're in my prayers. Glad to here you're taking life and living it!  Sorry to share the bad weather but I'm truely tired of it!  LOL enjoy your time together. lean on us when he goes back.

Sailor has been home in Pa. for two weeks come tomorrow. He is looking great and we are having some fun as well as firsts without Husband/Father. Shore duty orders in his hot hand. Great trip to Newport RI. Base is small, apartments are expensive. He found one and has a hold on it until the 15th of May. It is not avaliable until   10th of may anyway.  The next 3 years will pass quickly. We will see him at least 2 weekends a month. Expensive to drive up there. Have to look and see if there are any better route than the one we took. 370 miles one way, 6 hour trip.

Blondie, heard the weather was bad. We had rain all day yesterday with some wind but not to bad. Suppose to get up in the 50's today but this evening become very clod again. Snow is a four letter word. But i heard it might happen here overnight.

no electric again yesterday afternoon. which means couldn't do anything! in the country no electic mean no water either. i had clothes in washer but couldn't dry them. didn't want to lay them out and air dry because they'd just make house damp and cold (no heat). did come on in time to make supper and then took a quick bubble bath, never know when it'll go off again. storms are bad..wind, sleet, lighting.......water water everywhere again! on my way to work this morning a man stranded in road, he tried to go through high water, might have made it but someone else coming from other direction, big wave, flooded him out no electic in his car not even lights. Of course I stopped but he had a phone so I just gave him directions as to were he was (mile markers) He was inpressed, I said dont' be I live only 2 miles from here. offered him a ride into town, but he didn't want to leave his car, afraid someone would run into it and get hurt. I told him it was a school route and very busy I worried about his safety! so as I floated out of the high water, I blinked my lights at oncomming traffic to slow them down, one guy when he got on top of the hill and seen what was going on waved out his window to me and stopped on top of hill with caution lights on so I have to believe that he stayed there to warn and help. As I always say there are angels and saints among us we just have to open our eyes and reach out. more storms today and tonight, temp rose all night last night during storms now dropping all day possible snow again this weekend! YUCK, I'm ready to move now. LOL .

I have thanks Suzi.  they will be going out again soon, so loving every min. of any contact. lol  Let us know as soon as you hear. then the real fun begins. lol but I remember those days, so proud and happy until you hear they're getting deployed. well what did we expect? honestly I didn't think past the day to day stuff (missing her). But it is such a rewarding career and she's so happy I'm sure  your son will be too.

Good to hear Blondie! Hope you hear form her again soon.

I'm anxiously awaiting Friday...our son's graduation from SERE training. I will be overjoyed when he calls to say it's over.

For anyone with a recruit at bootcamp scheduled to PIR May 27th....

It was posted about 30 min ago on RTC Facebook page: To clear up any confusion, the correct graduation day for Memorial Day weekend is Thursday, May 26.

My input:

If you have already made hotel reservations you need to go ahead and change them as well as letting you employer know you are leaving sooner. Hopefully no one made flight arrangements yet. The good news is most of you will get more time with your Sailor's YAY!!!

JUST talked to daughter on Skype!!! She looked wonderful, LOL well tired and pale but Just good to SEE her. She had the day off, first one since we left Jan. 4th.! She says they are safe in Yokosuka but having aftershocks all the time yesterday they had 2-6's, 4-5's and a bunch of 4's. They canceld their leaves (her's was sept for the birth) hoping to get home in Jan. 2012 for the wedding tho questionable. she promised to call soonish-weekend? . . that's it, only had 5 mins. I'm at work and patients...doctors....(heavy sigh) .
