Ok Dads we need your help! N4Ms is doing a Habitat for HUmanity project in Denton on July 11. We needs some Dads to help us. You can email me or email kimberly directly (she has been the one working on the house since they broke ground). They are building this house for a single mother of 3 who is working side by side with Habitat volunteers in helping build her house. kimberly.h4h@gmail.com. I hope that some of you can join us, we'd love to meet you!

Chris, you are in for a treat. The PIR is the most exciting ceremony I have ever witnessed. Just a note here about photography. Find and use the biggest flash that you can afford. The lighting may seem adequate but our eyes adapt far better than cameras. Point and shoots will only be good for close ups. I have an Olympus E-510. The built in flash is only good to about eight feet and even then, the coverage is vignetted. I used an old Vivitar flash from my film SLR. It doesn't communicate with the camera so a few shots were over exposed. I'm saving for a dedicated flash.

Well PIR 6/12/2009 was great! As expected, Texas got the loudest cheers... until California was called out. Didn't bother me a bit though. Most of those people have never been to Texas, YET!

Hello all. My son, Justin's PIR was 29MAY09, Div 207. He reported to San Antonio for his A school on 3JUNE09. He is training to be an MAA - any other MAA parents out there?

We are from Flower Mound, TX - just north of the DFW airport.

My son is actually in DIV 830, they graduate 6/19/09. Everything is going fine from what he says in his letters. We are going up for the graduation and are looking forward to it. If anyone else has a son going into BUDS, read "the Warrior Elite".

Greetings from Sugar Land, Texas, where life is sweeter! My son Eric is in Div.930, PIR 6-12-2009. He'll stay in GL for A school to be A CS.
To Kevin Webster; I'd love to see that photo. The sights and smells of that old ship really stir my imagination. I was never in the Navy. My father was. I've had a couple of sailboats. Whenever I go to Galveston, the tall ship Elissa is always a stop. My daughter was married on the Elissa in'08.
To Jeff Auch; Pardon my correction but Div. 931 has PIR on 6-19-2009.
