I'm corresponding with mine right now and he said they really don't know that much so im sure the promising info was about the tc being officially approved. Do you skype him when they're in port?

i speak to my sailor on a everyday basis and still not able to get information from him. i should reconsider my groups.

Great group, I too would like it if someone could email me. I am not participating in TC but Ive learned to read between the lines on homecoming date.. I guess I am just excited knowing this would mean a sooner date for us on the west coast

I understand your concern about OPSEC because I am active duty navy so I completely understand what OPSEC is and how it must be followed.. I would just like some information because my sailor cannot tell me much

I wasn't trying to be funny in any way but I do talk to my sailor quite a bit, I guess more than most here so if you talk to your sailor you'll get the packet but as of right now gf/bf, husbands and wives couldn't participate in the tc unless they had a last minute change of heart before they sent out the info

I had a really hard time when I lived in Illinois and my husband was deployed  on the last cruise. I would always write the ombudsman and FRG to try to get dates and any info I could on port calls and especially homecoming. I was always turned away.. They always told me that emails could be hacked, phone calls could be tapped, that I could be posing as a wife and actually be a threat exc, exc.. I do feel like there should be a way to connect with family and spouses other than to physically attend the FRG meetings. I understand it's to protect our sailors. Just wish the commands could find a more efficient way.

no one is giving exact dates and places as far as info and everyone seems to be abiding by opsec so i dont see why its so bad about a conversation on if there is a tc or not.

Should the information be passed to everybody who asks just because they ask and signed up for the forum this week..it just doesn't seem right to me especially whenever everyone talks about opsec I just asked my sailor this morning when we talked and he did say it was approved and it was expensive lol
