For those of you that have never been on a cruise, you will have an experience unlike anything you've ever done before (unless you're a Navy vet of course!). I wrote a 9-part blog about my cruise on the USS Theodore Roosevelt in '09 (click here for link) that will give you an idea of your 3 days on a carrier.....you may want to read through those posts just to get an idea of the kinds of things you will experience and what to look forward to. Naturally, updated info and procedures will be provided by your sailors so pay attention to what they say and the paperwork you must complete before being accepted for cruise.  For comment about the recent cruise on the John C. All Tiger Cruise people, the cruise is on :) just talked to my sailor, and it's supposed to be 3-4 days long, just before initially scheduled homecoming date "if you know what I mean". I will PM or email all of you that asked so you are clear:)

My son flies out from Orlando to Norfolk this Saturday, 05/11/2013. Then on Wednesday leaves Norfolk for Bahrain to be taken to the Dwight. D. He's an ABF. He's stoked.....I'm gonna miss him lots.
