Sent my forms in Feb 16 and was approved Feb 25.
We sent our medical forms on Feb. 12 and my son told us that we were approved about 2 weeks ago.
I think that the different departments may have had different deadlines to have them in. My son's departments wanted to have definite names of Tigers by a meeting that they were having on Feb. 17.

How long ago did you send your forms to your son I sent mine to my daughter over 3 weeks ago
Everyone has to fill out the med. forms, submit them to your Sailor.
I scanned mine to PDF and emailed it to my son.
AND bring a hard copy when boarding the ship.
I was approved at least three weeks ago.
It is your Sailors duty to get you the forms and walk them up the chain. They are your sponsor.
Are family members finding out right now from their sailors if they are able to go on the Tiger Cruise or has it been going on for awhile. Still waiting to hear from my daughter says all department are different and is there a certain timeframe that the Stennis will let them know if family members are approved, airfare and hotels need to be booked.
Lynn, thank you for your advice. My husband and I are among the lucky who are going this time and I just can't wait. We will be on the pier waiting for the ship to come in and then we will be on the pier in SD watching them head out on their journey to Bremerton too. It will be so awesome seeing the homecomings and departures from 3 different perspectives. :)
I am so excited and a little envious for all of you going on the Tiger Cruise. My husband and I went last year and it is something I will never ever forget. It was an amazing and wonderful adventure and something not many people have the opportunity to do. Last year they gave us a book full of questions of locations of things on the ship, kind of like a scavenger hunt and each location has to have a signature of the person in that particular area. I cannot encourage you enough to do this fun exercise because you learn so much about the carrier and the functions of each department. My husband and I both completed ours but unfortunately I overheard a couple of officers say only a fraction of the Tigers completed them. It was really a disappointment to them. We were so excited and got a pin and on top of that we learned so very much and went all over the ship. Have a wonderful time, take lots of pictures and videos because you will smile years down the road thinking about this amazing adventure!
Phil, I will not be sailing on this TC. I will be there to meet the ship and spend time with my son when he arrives. Then he flys out. He also will not be on the TC.
Any info, Med forms will be provided by your sailor. Make sure your sailor puts your name and DOB on the list so you can enter the base if you intend to whatch the ship come in.
