I wouldn't book a flight just yet, unless you plan on getting flight insurance (which is very expensive)  I did book a hotel for 2 weeks, lol.  I will just cancel the days that I won't need when I find out the definite dates.

John

Thanks for the tips.  Are the other two forms something that my sailor should send me or something the Command sends?  This is his first cruise so I am sure he is very green.

I know this is a far reaching question but based on the tentative dates he has been given do you think I am safe making travel arrangements this early?

The Hale Koa Hotel is for military members and their families. It is a great facility right on the beach in Honolulu. It has a great pool and bar/bar service. A great place to stay with your sailor before going on the Tiger Cruise!

The medical paperwork is submitted by your sailor Bob, when you board you need to have your Emergency Data Sheet/Embarkation Authorization form. A couple of days early is perfect. There is so much to see and do. You can take a Navy launch to the Arizona Memorial, you can go to Punchbowl, or just hang out and chill on the beach.

I have submitted my medical paperwork.  Is there other paperwork that needs to be submitted?  Any general ideas on timing of when to show up on site?  Is a couple days before their arrival too far in advanced?

you may want to join the Tiger Cruise group or at least read though the past posts and blogs to get an idea of what the cruise is like: click http://www.navydads.com/group/tigerorfamilydaycruise

also have organized a bunch of slides/video and blogs from the '09 cruise on the Theodore Roosevelt at http://www.navydads.com/group/tigerorfamilydaycruise/forum/topics/u...

Does anyone know how many they will be approving on the TC?  I have never been on one before and would LOVE to go.  I sent my paperwork to my son a couple of days ago.  Haven't heard back yet, but I think his department has to turn it in by Feb. 15.  I have only received the medical forms from him so far.  Is that all that we will get or is their something else to be filled out?
