Proud Dad. Started out as a Combat Medic in the Army Reserves (81-82). Enlisted in the Active Army (82-93) as a Non-Morse Interceptor/Analyst with tours in NTTC Pensacola,
Field Station Berlin, Field Station Kunia-Hawaii and Ft Meade-Maryland. Then joined the Maryland Army National Guard (93-03) as a Military Policeman/Investigator. While in the Guard did some time in Panama, Germany, Italy and a wonderful 7 months in Bosnia (SFOR 10). Finally I retired and am currently serving in the Retired Reserves.

What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:
Honestly...being an Army vet (as are my Dad, uncles and brother)....first thought was why the Navy. Although they deny any enfluence, my ex-wife and her side of the family are all Navy vets. However, I am very of proud of her decision to enlist, regardless of the Service.

If you have any comments, questions or concerns about your sailor and what she is going through...be sure to post them! I'm sure someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) just completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Will this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and be sure to let us know how Kirsten is doing!
