I am the wife of a Quartermaster-Submarine Service during the Vietnam era. My Son is currently in the Naval Reserves after serving his 4yr active duty on a missle cruiser and my grandson recently went into the Navy at Great Lakes. I have another son who served 4yrs on an aircraft carrier, and now a Sr Medic in the Army! So very proud of my military men!

    Karen, Welcome to NavyDads. My Grandson Joined the Navy and went to Boot Camp in February, 2008. When I joined I knew nothing about the Military and this site has really helped me understand what to expect and has relieved some of the worries I had.
