Marco, I too appreciate you and your family's service to the country and your community. Being a LEO, as I'm sure you and Mom can relate, we always tended to be let's say "A little overprotective." It's the natural order watching our boys become men, but I don't remember anyone saying it was this hard. I mentioned to a buddy feeling "Lost" when my son left. My buddy put it perspective, "Lost" is not knowing where you are. We are not "Lost," we are "Without," which sometimes is even harder to handle because we have become accustomed to our boys always being with us. May God bless you and yours, watch over our brothers and sisters and strengthen our boys as they continue on their adventure.

Hi Marco, I'm glad to meet you. My son will be also at the PIR on June 7th. So proud, isn't it........? He's in 930 Div. and plays the bass drum at the band. I got just 2 phone calls, because he split the other one with his mom. I've been amazed to see that his weekly letters have shown. How much he's into the military life. Happier and adjusted to it, despite the sleep depravation. As he said.....Today, I just sent a big envelope with cards, family pictures, etc. for his coming up birthday next week.  Now, we just have to wait for their success at BS21 this weekend and keep the phone close hand.
