    Jay,

My son is also on Ship 13 Div 081. Are you by chance from TN? I went to school with a Jay Thompson who is an Army Veteran, Desert Storm era, retired, etc.?

ABSOLUTELY will be there!! Planning on going to Sarge's on Thursday night as well. Glad to hear that you got a call from your sailor and that he is well. We would love a call. What a coincidence that you have the same name and service ties as the Jay Thompson that I know. Look forward to meeting with you at Sarge's or PIR.

Recently, the US Navy as a whole has adopted it as a result of MCPON Rick West’s regular use of the saying. West’s son, an active duty Navy diver, inspired his father who saw the value of incorporating the motivational tool Navy-wide. It is similar to the expressions Oorah in the Marine Corps and Hooah in the U.S. Army.
