Several past realities have been in the Navy. My uncle was on the USS Arizona and killed at Pearl Harbor. I visited the memorial last year. I have always remember his picture and purple cross on my gramd mothers mantel. My father-in-law was a Navy pilot and killed in Korea, crashing his plane off the end of the ship. I now have a nephew joining and my brother told me about this site.

What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:
Interested in knowing about his career and training.
Dale, allow me the opportunity to welcome you to NAVY DAD'S. Please feel free to ask questions and participate. Please feel free to spread the word to other families with young men and women in the NAVY so they too will find us an gain the peace of mind which is ever so important when our youth join the military. Thank you Gary F.
Hello Dale, Welcome and thank you for taking the interest to join the Navydads site. Tyler will be happy to know someone else is taking interest in his Navy Career. He is going to be a CTT and will be going to A School in Pensacola. I have not joined the Pensacola A School site and the Cryptology site but intend to do so. He should be leaving GL (Basic Tranning) the first couple of weeks in May.
I knew that you father-in-law flew in the Navy but do not know too much else. We would sure like to know what Carrier he was assigned to.
Tyler's Uncle Capt. John "Turk" Green was on the USS John F Kennedy, and the USS Forrestal. He Commanded the USS Camden, The USS John F Kennedy and The USS Theodore Roosevelt. He flew A-7 Corsair's and FA-18's.
Thanks for coming Aboard GO NAVY Bill
