Drew said he is getting better as they get closer to home waters. It may have something to do with water systems on board. Don't know if he was the worst on board, but others had similar problems. Hope your kids are well. Don't know if I'm quite ready for school to start again.

    Pat,
Thanks again. I don't blame you for being confused - SO AM I ! My son tells me differing bits of info. He is definitely staying in Groton to finish his sub training, that is, his "A" School. One day he tells me, " They got me slotted for 'Radio Man'. ", Then another day he tells me, " I tried for 'IT', but they said no." Then he tells me he is in the 'EC' rate (?), and a radio man, .....!! I can't figure this guy out. It was nice visiting him, though, up at Groton. Thanks for your kind help. Cordially, john sr.

    Hey Pat, update on Drew:
My son was left in home port for the last two months of deployment. They assigned him TD to the hospital to track down the GI tract problem. He's in a weird limbo place right now. I hope your daughter is feeling much better. Did they find what her problem was? Definitely hard waiting when you need a diagnosis. take care...
