I am personally retired after having served 20+ years in Uncle Sam's Finest NAVY. After my retirement, I met the most wonderful woman who also had a great 14 year old son. The kid didn't know me from Adam, but said he wanted to join the NAVY when he graduated from High School. Wow, where did the last 4 years go? Our son has graduated and has enlisted in the Navy himself. Proud you ask? DAMN PROUD... carry the torch for one more generation.

Hello Retired NAVY Dad! I wanted to introduce myself and say hello! You have been a member of NavyDads for quite some time and I may not have had to opportunity to touch base with you. As NavyDads Admin I hope you've found the site as fun and useful as I have. Continue to explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is on the second half of a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat recently returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Retired NAVY Dad this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Ron is doing! And thank you for your service to our great country. Best Regards- Paul

We look forward to having someone with your experience helping answers questions and concerns from new NavyDads. We have several members that have retired from the Navy and they have been a great help in dealing with issues that come up....

The best thing you can do is to monitor the site and jump right in when you see a post that you can reply to. Right now we have a lots of concerns about the delays in classing-up....I gues many of our newer members haven't yet learned and the hurry-up and wait rule!!!!!

Dave- we're glad to have you on the site !! Best Regards- Paul
