Let me start by saying I'm so glad you've found us. When my son first enlisted in the Navy I began to research what would be in his future. After countless hours searching the Internet and still being left with so many unanswered questions, I was inspired to create this site to ease the burden on Navy families that followed behind me. Our community consists of Navy Dads, Moms, Grandparents, Spouses, Siblings, etc. Your involvement is "key" to learning about what your Sailor will be doing and more importantly, teaching Navy life to others that follow in your shoes by documenting what you have learned along the way. So jump right in, share concerns, share info, and show off your Sailor. I hope this site benefits you & your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank BPacker for his service from me and thanks again for joining us.
tk, Welcome to NavyDads and SEAL Dads (NSW) Group. When you have a chance be sure to read one of the following post or all three This is a must read before posting, OPSEC and Social Media and Posting on NSW Forums (this is a must read). Everyone here is ready and willing to help answer any questions you have regarding this long journey your Guy is starting. Tell your guy that my Family and I appreciate his desire to join the Navy and we are proud of his decision. He will be in our Thoughts and we wish him the best.
tk - thanks for the friend request. Still not so sure what I would be comfortable posting in a message. Any thoughts on how to share info without compromising personal info? It has been a year since my son's PIR. One of the longest year's on record in my book!
