Welcome to NavyDads Carolyn! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Carolyn this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Brad is doing! Best Regards- Paul

    Welcome,
My son is also land based aircraft he is assigned to a P-3 squadron out of Hawaii

Andrew is currently getting used to the squadron. He reported on board in January about two weeks after his squadron went over. He was next on the list to go, but two others who arrived earlier went first and he remained in Hawaii. This month is his first time working with his squadron. He was temporary assigned to several other places while waiting. Now it is get resettled in and perhaps even a new barracks assignment.
Andrew attended C school on board Whidbey. He had a very good experience as some of the folks in Oak Harbor were very nice to him and several other sailors.
