Forrest, thank you for your comments and prayers last Wednesday! Each day has gotten better. I miss my son tremendously but know The Lord is watching over him and guiding him through boot camp.

Forrest, I am not really sure about your abilities but...I was on board the USS Ronald Reagan 2 years ago. I carried a Nikon D-40. I took over 1800 photos and can tell you I "savord" pretty much all that was made available to me. I did make an effort not to get caught up on the tours because of crowed corridors. Spend your time investigating and asking questions. Sit next to a sailor you haven't met at chow and get to know them and what they do and where they work. Get addresses of these fine kids and send their parents pictures of them at work. Yes, when I got home, I edited many out but, I got the one photo of a pilot sitting on the bow with his 9 year old. I was thrilled to send that photo home to the wife and mother of this family. Phone cameras suck in quality when taking sonic passes! Just my input.

As a result of pictures home after the TG Cruise, we have been kept up with a few sailors and their ship and home life. Very interesting to hear their personal reasons for entering Navy life. God speed on your seas!
