Welcome to NavyDads militarymom! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what she is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And militarymom this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Kristan is doing! And mom-- check out the Daughters and Their Dads group! Best Regards- Paul
Congratulations on your daughter's safe return as I wish all of our kids do the same. He will be a gunner's mate and wants to be stationed in San Diego. We are so excited to go see him next week as we have only been able to talk to him once.
I got a letter yesterday and he got advanced to E2 from boot, we are so proud of him and he is the Starboard watch of his division. I am sure you felt the same way when you got letter about what your daughter had accomplished and it makes you swell up with pride to hear your kids are doing so well. Congrats of being a grandparent. Kody asked that we size one of his mom's rings so I am sure he is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Just have to see, we love her too. I understand the heart ache of your child be so far away, he and I are very close especially after his mom passed so its been hard on dad but we will survive it. Be sure an add pics when your new g'baby arrives.
