No we were not at the meet and greet, unfortunately. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn and were there with my wife's sister and her husband. I remember my daughter mentioning your daughter. They may have been planning to spend the day together today. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay another day as my wife had to be back to work today. My wife and I both commented about the changes in our daughter, also. The change in the confidence level was amazing. She always has been successful through school, but always doubted herself. She was diagnosed as ADHD when she was in the third grade and the school system we lived in didn't have a clue in what to do with someone like her. We moved to another school system when she entered middle school and the difference was like night and day! She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school and was on the deans' list and president's list all through college and graduated with honors. During her first year in college, she even managed to succeed after she stopped taking her prescribed medication for ADHD! If she hadn't done this, she probably wouldn't be in the Navy today. Of course, this wasn't really the career path she had intended to follow, but once it became apparent that this is what she was going to do, she went full speed ahead into it! She lost over 60 pounds just to get into the Navy. She leaves in the morning for Pensacola for A School. When does you daughter leave? Where is she going?
