Division 331 PIR 6 Sept 2013

Anyone out there with a new Sailor going through PIR next Friday and looking to connect with other parents the evening before? My wife and I arrive Thursday fairly early in the day and would love to meet other Sailor parents.

Off to the Navy

My son is off to the Navy today. I am very proud of him and the decision he made to join the Navy. I will miss him terribly but I know that this is what he wanted and he is ready to join the great wide world. He is very excited to get going with his Navy career.

RTC Challenge Coins

Just received the "I'm a Sailor" call from my son.   In our conversation he mentioned he was given to "Challenge Coins".   Being naive, I was wondering if anyone could explain what these coins are and how they age given out?

Thanks

US navy RTC website

Our son went to Bootcamp July 18, 2013 and in Ship 003 Division 354. We got a call from him and talked 7 minutes with him last Saturday Aug 3 2013. We received our first letter from him today. We went on the RTC Facebook site and found a pic of our son doing push-ups during PT. click on the sites photos then go to albums. We found him in the July 25 album. It appears they update the photos every Saturday. You do NOT need Facebook to view the photos. Good luck you may find your son or daughter.… Continue
