Thank you, Tom, for your welcoming words.  Received Rebekah's box on Saturday....along with her clothes,phone, etc was her airline ticket/traveling info etc....but no informational letter. Perhaps this week...hope so as started a letter to her a few days ago....and it's already starting to take book form lol.

Thank you for the warm welcome and encouraging words. I have found a few great groups to join in the last couple of days. I am so amazed and humbled by all the wonderful Navy people who have made me feel welcome and " Take this person under our wing" feeling I get from everyone. Since my son left Monday I have been becoming a true Navy mom and spent so much time reading. Great way to keep your mind occupied when missing your new recruit.

hanks for the response Tom.  My son left for Basic Training last week, so we are very new to this.  He qualified for Aircrew Rescue Swimmer.  I assume he heads to RTC once he competes basic or is RTC what he is going through now.    We just received his mailing address letter, so looking forward to getting letter to him.  Tom

Thank you for the kind words and all of the valuable information on your site. I loved my military time and would love to be back on active duty. I am so proud on my son and his choice and support him with everything I have. The information that you provide on this site helps me as a Army service man to understand the Navy side. I am sure that you are that same as I am about panning through a large amount of information in a very short time because it is the military way.

Thank you for the add and the welcomes.  My sailors are both first class POs, so I am well set for Navy information myself, but the loss of Navy for Moms left me feeling homeless.  I hope to get the hang of the community and the layout here, and perhaps reconnect with old friends, and make some new ones.  I was an ET, know a fair bit about Great Lakes, Japan, and Diego Garcia.  If anyone recognized the username Anti M (Aunty Em), give me a shout!
