Navy Dads

My son stated he was in a push division and I was wondering if any one could give me a little more insight to what this means. I have a basic understanding but would like to know how they play "catch up " and graduate in seven weeks and not eight.

Hi Ralph, I'm not sure of how they play "catch up". My son is also scheduled for PIR on 11/12/2010. He's in DIV 369. We've received some mail, but he's pretty vague on what's going on. I am really looking forward to the PIR!
Hey Dan,

My son left for bookcamp a week later than the other divisions and was told they would work hard to catch up to graduate on 11-12-10. My son is in DIV 370 and seems to be doing fine. I think 369 & 370 will be doing BS21 together ,if the ladies have the dates right. I cant wait for PIR myself ,i will be one proud Navy DAD!
Hi Ralph, Do you have a guess as to when they will be doing BS21?

I agree with you about being a proud Navy Dad. I'm glad your son is doing fine. I am already very proud of everything my son has accomplished and can't wait to see him marching in with his division.
Hey Dan,

I have the scoop on BS21. I get all my info from Navy 4 moms . lol The dates they have posted for our divisions is Wednesday- Nov 10,2010. (not official)They have a start time of 8 pm ,lasting 12 hours. The ladies say its tradition to burn blue candles for duration of BS 21 and Im sure my wife will as well.
just to clarify--- this is a response from RTC about us trying to get info about BS21:

"Sir,

We do not give out any specific training schedules of the recruits including Battle Stations. Your recruit is the only who is allowed to give you that information.

Respectfully,

Recruit Training Command
Public Affairs Office
847-688-2405 "

Your sailors must be communicating with their moms more than their dads!!!

Thanks for the information. lol. I guess we better get used to this. They (The Navy) will tell us when they want us to know what our sons are doing.
I received a letter from my daughter today and she mention the same thing about her division.
Gil ,

Did she say she was in a push division? Still have not recieved any info on it . Oh well he graduates BC next friday . I guess it doesnt matter to much now.

Ralph
Yes she is in Ship 03 Div 022 with PIR 12/17/10 but trying to complete boot camp in 7 weeks, so that should be 12/10/10..but nothing official yet.
