Navy Dads

The subject of Challenge Coins comes up every once in a while....I am in the process of building a holder for son Eric's Challenge Coins and I wanted a couple more to fill out his collection and give some balance to the display.  I've known about Northwest Territorial Mint for a long time, but this is the first time I've ordered from them.....I got three...one for Naval Base Norfolk, one for his rate (AM) and one for Kaneohe Bay.  Had the AM coin engraved with his name....total cost for all three with shipping- $42 and about 5 days wait...pretty reasonable.  Check them out at (this link to their Navy stuff): https://store.nwtmint.com/Navy/

got the holes drilled for the coins today and got the triangular one done as well.....finding a triangular drill bit was TOUGH !!!!!!!!! Hope to get a photo or two soon......

For anyone looking for custom shadow boxes, coin holders or to make their own coins for advancement, commisioning or retirement, I would recommend : SADOWBOX4U.COM. They are owned by 2 retired navy  chiefs and put out quality items.  I had them make coins for my son to give out at his commissioning.

they have some nice stuff....

Not too bad for first try....next one will be better with fewer mistakes.......

I actually picked this one up along with a MA coin that I had engraved....and so it begins!...LOL!
