PIR 11/30/2012
This Discussion is intended as a place where parents and other loved ones who have SRs with a PIR of 30 November to gather and meet-and-greet and talk about this adventure. Of course, I suppose anyone is welcome.
If anyone knows of others on facebook and navyformoms.com, please direct them this way, too.
Hopefully, this will be a place where we can share stories about phonecalls and letters from our SRs.
And I look forward, already, to meeting all of y'all at PIR.

Attention on deck!
From RTC:
There will be FIFTEEN divisions graduating Nov. 30th. RTC is abiding by the policy that Active Duty/military retirees and children twelve and under do not count toward the 4 invitations each recruit receives. However, if an individual is not on the access list they will NOT be able to enter the drill hall (NO stand by). Please plan on arriving at least two hours before the ceremony, which begins promptly at 9 a.m. Thanks to all for your continued support of Recruit Training Command, the Navy's only boot camp!

Ohhh this is great ...that means my 12 year old daughter can go in with out being on the list ???
Cesar's sister will be very happy to be in the ceremony !!!

He sounds really happy...He says that he is doing great, he feels happy, he is healthy and physically and mentally he is doing great. He says that the only thing he wishes..is for more time to be able to communicate with us. He is asking for everyone of us to write to him...a lot of letters ..he will find the time to write back.
He says that he hopes we are happy and that he wants to finish his Boot Camp to make us very proud..We already are proud of him...A Lotttt !!!

My son is in Ship 04 Div 802 and we received our first letter today after leaving us Oct 4th. Likes it a lot but pretty intense.
Very little time to write, usually he said he will write at 0300.
PIR date is Nov 30th

HE CALLED HE CALLED My SON CALLED. We had 17 min 45 secs. I can not say how happy I was to hear his voice and to hear I love you and I miss you mama, but I am fine! Said the food is good and he had his surgery and he is doing fine.Misses everyone so much and begged for the mail to keep coming!!!!!!!

We also got a letter today, he said it is tough but he is toughing it out. He said they PT them to death when any of the mess up. He said he passed the PFA with a 12:05 mile and a half, 79 sit ups and 74 push ups. He said he is in the Alpha Group (can anyone tell me what the Alpha Group is). He said they had to wait two weeks once they arrived to start P Days. He said he has a sinus infection and ask for prayers. He said the RTC's are pretty funny. He said he gets home sick every now and then but he's ok.
Man, we can't wait for PIR!! It was good to hear from him!!

That is great.. looks like almos everybody is getting letter and phone calls finally...
Believe me...I can't wait either for PIR...I am counting the days 35 more days and we all will be able to see our sons or daughthers.... Thanks God !!! Cesar is also doing good he sounded very happy on the letter...that gave me strenght and tranquility....

Yesterday, I felt like the luckiest gal in the world, a phone call and a letter all in the same day! Amazing! My SR sounded upbeat, said the food was good, that he was eating quite a bit but not to worry because they were working it off. He said division 021 was getting in trouble quite a bit, so they were losing some privileges. Such as I have noticed on facebook, some guys got a 50 minute phone call. My guy only got 12 min. 45 sec..Oh well, I will take every second I can get. It was just so great to hear his voice again!
