This Discussion is intended as a place where parents and other loved ones who have SRs with a PIR of 30 November to gather and meet-and-greet and talk about this adventure. Of course, I suppose anyone is welcome.
If anyone knows of others on facebook and navyformoms.com, please direct them this way, too.
Hopefully, this will be a place where we can share stories about phonecalls and letters from our SRs.
And I look forward, already, to meeting all of y'all at PIR.
Sincerely,
Scott
Attention on deck!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, the VFW post in Villa Park offers Thanksgiving dinner for about 200 recruits from RTC. It's possible that some of your recruits might attend this event. If you hear of them, let them know that I am planning on being there to help serve. I only live about 90 miles from there. I will be the bald guy wearing a NavyDads polo shirt and a NavyDads apron.
I am adopting your son for Thanksgiving. Apparently our boys have become fast friends in boot. We will be going to a Thanksgiving Buffet at a Hotel so that the boys will have options.

If anyone out there runs into my son, Burton, on Thanksgiving, please take a picture. He hurt his knee and got pushed back ... He's been gone 8 weeks at this point....
I hope so, thanks.

BK, we all feel your pain. It will be wonderful when you get your picture of your son with a big smile on his face.
No news from 802 so far this week, but today is mail day.... I'm hoping!
Will let you all know if I get any news.
We will have fully charged cell phones with the boys can make calls to whom ever they would like and for as long as they like on Thanksgiving.
