Hello allPIR 3-14 parents and familys.

Unless I am horrbile wrong.

Our sons and daughters had Battle Stations 21 today.

Can't wait for the "I'm a Sailor call".

Some time tomorrow best asI can tell.

typically only 2 divisions at a time are in Battle Stations and typically can start the Friday before PIR and end as late as the Thursday before PIR......

Hi Paul.

Now that you mention it, with 10 to 12 Divisions at a PIR, there is now way all divisions can do Battle Stations 21 on a single day.

Well not the first time I have been wrong. And no doubt won't be the last. We learn from our mistakes and move forward.

Still can't wait to get the call.

Hello all.

I just got the call !!!!

Division 104 has completed Battle Stations 21 !

Good news for all in the sense that its begining to happen.

My son  told me they are having four divisions at a time doing Battle Stations.

He confirmed that nothing is done they are not already prepared for.

And he is so happy and proud to have received his Navy Cap and is now a Sailor in the US Navy.

Now counting the days until the PIR.

Hello all,

Here is more information that might be helpful to parents.

My son had told me he boards a Navy bus at 0100 (1 AM) Saturday to be taken to the airport.

He doesn't know which airport yet.

He said ALL new Sailors going to that airport will board the 0100 bus. No matter WHAT time their flight departs. Simply because the Navy wants to make only one bus trip to an airport.

Makes sense.

So a Sailor might be catching a flight right away, or might be waiting many hours.

We will find out after the PIR.
