Ok I realize this is the Navydads forum, but just by chance does anyone know what happened to the navyformoms.com. When you try to go that group it comes up an error 404 not found.

Since we are not connected in any way to that site we don't have any first hand information. With their loss of Navy sponsorship earlier this year, and with the ownership changes by our mutual host company, it could be any number of reasons. Sorry we cannot offer you more information.
I had a conversation with John Gillette at Young & Rubicam this afternoon regarding the Navy for Mom's website that has been down for almost a week now.
Back in April they were awarded a 5 year, $457mill contract with the Navy to handle their global advertising (taking over the contract from Campbell Ewald). One of those items is the N4M website.....The problem right now is with Ning (outsourced in India). For some reason Ning archived the website and now Y&R is trying to get them to unarchive it. He said the Naval Recruiting Command is also very upset with the situation. It is a priority for them right now and they are doing everything they can to resolve the issue ASAP. I told him there's a bunch of unhappy Navy momma's out there and he said he understands the urgency. He'll keep me posted. (and for the record he was very nice and understanding!)
But I want to know how they are going to handle the 100,000 member limit problem? If the inactive members aren't deleted, no more new members may join.
**Update on Navy for Mom's website**
I just got off the phone with John at the ad agency. He said they were told that N4M was supposed to be back online at 4pm EST yesterday (10/4/16) but of course that didn't happen :( He said they are going to do a "re-direct" on the page for now letting people know that the page is having "technical difficulties" and is being worked on. So cross your fingers that the site will be up soon!
Fingers crossed, both hands, and toes too!

Glad I got a link to this page. At least I know something about what's going on now. Patience is a virtue they say. glad to know they are working on it.
Yes, they are working on it, but it's not getting resolved as quickly as we would like. They really seem to be having issues with the people that handle Ning....

I would assume that you are all on the Navy For Moms Facebook page as well. I recently tried to join there to offer any assistance to any moms that needed more information. I was denied because of my gender.
Guess they are not as inclusive as NavyDads is !

I have not joined the FB Navy moms, although I am friends with several moms who were on N4M with me years ago and are on FB now. Over the years, a couple have even stopped by my home for a visit as they traveled, and one sends me lovely handmade cards.
