My son Alex is scheduled to report to OCS June 20.  Is there a way to find out his class number ahead of time?  We have everything else we need to compose his mail address.

We would like to get up there a little early, but if that doesn’t work out we definitely plan on making the HI Moms Dinner. I know they are extremely busy and focused on the job at hand, but I wish we could hear something directly from John. The last phone call was I think on 7/18, and a short email I found late on the night of 7/28 and that’s been it. Does the class being “secured “mean everyone passed last week’s physical, academic and personal inspections? In John’s email he did mention drill competition as a big hurdle that could cause major problems if they didn’t meet the DI’s standards. Any idea when the competition occurs? Once again it’s NNIGN

Keeping the faith

John, Tom,

I got an email from William today. It looks like he will be rolling for medical reasons. He pulled a hamstring a couple of weeks ago and was trying to keep up, but now he strained his quads doing sprints so he went to sick call. Depending on how quickly it things heal he will be 3-6 weeks behind schedule and have a later graduation. He's disappointed, but I'd rather for his sake that he not push this to becoming a chronic injury.

I think they were "secured" for passing the ORLP, which is an outside RLP. It was a personal and uniform, but not room and locker, inspection. I believe the drill competition is next week. There are midterms and a physical fitness test this week or next. I'm not sure.

Looks like I will not be seeing you there.

Best wishes to you and our LO's,
Bill
Hello all my son reported to OCS on July 10, and told me he was in the 21-10 class. Got a garbled voice message from him on July 11 that said he was alive. His mother recieved an E-mail on July 19th that said it was warm in Newport and that he was doing alot of pushups marching and yelling. Haven't heard much else from him since. Hoping he's made it through MTT I think its this week (4). Anyone else have someone in the 21-10 class?

Thanks!
Hi Ed. My son is in Class 21-10 as well. There is a great facebook site called "Navy OCS Class 21-10 Friends and Family" if you are not already on there. Lots of great information and sharing about all of our LO's in that class. Also a former OCS graduate is on there answering lots of questions for us as well. Let's pray they all made it through RLP yesterday! I'll update you here as well if I hear additional information. Thanks!

Cissie appreciate the info I will get signed up. By coincidence I received a letter yesterday from Zack and that cheered me up. I laughed because he said he has so many stories to share but so little time and sleep..

Thanks!
Ed

We have LO's in 20-10-B they are in week 7.You might search some more here or my wife uses Navyformoms. Also you might check facebook for a family group.
Good Luck
Tom
Hi Ed. As hopefully you've heard by now, everyone from Class 21-10 passed RLP! It sounds like 14 didn't pass the first time on Thursday, but all of those 14 passed today!!

Woohoo!!! Looks like they will all be graduating on Sept 30, as long they don't have an injury or majorly mess up somehow. Keyes said that the Navy's fiscal year ends on Sept 30 therefore they need this class to graduate in this fiscal year, so their graduation will be on a Thursday. Congrats to Zack and everyone! :)

Hey Cissie, I recieved a call from Zack on Saturday evening and he did tell me the class has passed RLP so that was a great moment we spoke for about 45 miniutes. I can't say he has enjoyed his summer camp but he and the rest still have a sense of humor when they can. He mention that he had a blister on his ankle that got infected and he has had antibiotics to treat it. Fortunately he was in great shape when he got there so that he can afford to miss some PT. He and the rest still all need our thoughts and prayers. Says they are all sleep deprived but there's not use to complain. The phone connection is so bad that I only got about half of the conversation, but he said the class is coming together and they have grown close. I appreciate you updating me when you find out information. I hope your LO is doing great, yours and the rest are in our prayers.

thanks!

Bill,

Sorry to hear about Williams injury. Jonah said he might be able to stay with the class if he can pass his run. We'll be praying for healing no matter what.

Take care, John

John,
I got an email from William today. They put him on limited light duty about a week ago. His hamstring is getting much better, because of the rest. Today he took and passed his PFA.
He is really looking forward to this Wednesday when they should become Candi-O's.
So it looks like we still are on for him to graduate on 9-10. From now on he just needs to do well with the academics.
Best wishes,
Bill
