What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:
Jason's dad thanks for joining. I found navyformoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads wouldn't feel guilty interacting in a woman's world. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud navy dads just like myself. Good luck and thanks again for joining. EG
Thank you! Which sailor is your son? My son is the second row from the left with a man missing, he is right there the first sailor. My son also is still in Great Lakes (GL) for A-school, he is going to be an AT (Aviation Electronics Technician). He will be going to Pensacola some time soon. Also, Welcome Aboard! Glad you found us here :). God Bless, Michele
Welcome aboard Jason's dad! Glad to have another proud father joining our ranks. My wife was stationed in Maine early in her career, so we enjoyed the beautiful scenery around Brunswick. It sounds like you two are close, which makes his distant service more painful. Be assured he'll come home on leave and enjoy your outings again, as he can. Thanks for raising such a fine young man who is seeking to care for others. May the Lord bring you companionship and comfort while Jason is away. Blessings, Kevin
Okay neat. . it is nice to have ties to other parents that have sailors that were with my sailor :). . . .awesome on the pictures! I don't know if I will have time in the next week to look over on N4M's for them though. Your son looks familar, did you all stay at the Ramada Inn in GL's for PIR?
Being a Corpsman has been a great experience for my son so far. Is Jason scheduled to go to FMS training after A-school? Daniel put in for it (Spring 2007) after A-School, but the rumor was that the Navy was planning to send all future HNs to FMS as a matter of course. Just interested. Best wishes to Jason!
Hey Jon - It has been awhile since I have left you a message! I really like the pictures you have on here :). Your son looks familiar, like we may have run into him when we were out and about at PIR. I keep forgetting that Jason and my son Wes were in the same division! Let me know how you are doing :) God Bless, Michele
That is great, I am so happy he is doing well. He will be in my neck of the woods! :) I believe that is only 3 hours from me. . . Thank you for the update, God Bless, Michele :)
Hi Jason ~ Just read your comment on Michele's page. Congrats! Will you be heading to his graduation? Morgan finished his 3rd test Monday. Question for you, how difficult was it for him to make FMTB? That's what Morgan is shooting for. He said he needs to maintain a 93% gpa to even be considered. I'm thinking it needs to be higher. Congrats again!
