Terry, Just recieved 4 letters from my girl. The first three said she thinks her whole Division is going to be left back 2 week, and she will miss her A school, and the other 88 girls in there with her are constantly fighting with each other, their Chief quit on them ( when she said that, I knew what was going on...) and he told them he wasn't comming back until they learn how to work as a team. (Humm...) She said it stinks because everybody is miserale all the time, and P.O 'd . She said she's lost, and dosen't know what to do..., "please give me advise".
Well, you and I know whats going on. Fast forward to the next and latest letter..." Dear Family, Today we actually made good progress w/ the Division since our emotional event the other night. " Then she went on to tell us about a letter the Cheif recieved from a long timer, who wanted to be a chief, but was sick from cancer, and how they let him take the chief's test in the hospital. Took him 3 days to finish, and he missed it by 6 points. He was made an Honorary Chief, and at the end of his talk, showed them a picture with the other Chiefs around him, putting the Chief's Hat on him. He was drawn, pale, his mouth hung open, his eyes were hollow and glazed, he was close to death. Then their Cheif asked them why, and how badly they wanted to be there. After that, they were shown 911 videos. She said all the girls, and guys were either crying , or had tears in their eyes. After that they had to write a letter to the RDL's and explain why they were there, and why they are now ready to train.( sorry this is so long) After that Becka said" Today is the firsttime we did not get in trouble, or get I.T.(intense training), it was awesome. We actually drilled and trained today. We even joked around with our RDC's. She is drilling at the front of the formation, and the R-pol(?) and the yoeman asked her to be a section leader because of her 6 years as Sea Cadet (11-17) Petty Office 2nd class. She ended it with " I just wanted to let you know things are picking up. So far, so good"
When I was done reading the letter out loud, I turned to my wife and said, 3 weeks, not 2 ! ( as far as things shaping up ) You should have seen my wife's smile! Thanks You for being here for all of us Terry. It means so much to me.

And on a side note-- thanks to you for your service.
