- Very proud father! I was so excited to hear Brandon showing an interest in the Nuclear program. To think of the future he has before him simply amazes me. Not a moment goes by when I am not thinking of him or sharing the story with others! I reret that I never served, but the pride I feel is tremendous.

- Nothing but pride and complete support. Sandy and I discussed the options he had and the opportunities joining would bring. This is a fantastic path for him to take and will make him a better person.

- Actually, my wife joined Navy Moms and we felt there just had to be something out there for the dads. She found the site for me and I am thankful!

I would like to take this time to point you in some of the right directions. For starters if you haven't had the time take a look at the right side of any page you click on. There you will find some useful information for you. The links under the about this site will help you with how this site got started, navigation, PIR, About us, community guidelines and some links to some of the groups that beginners with a lot of questions will find very useful.
First and foremost though we are all here for the same reason. We are curious about what our young sailors are getting into and for more information about the rate or job that they will be doing for the next 4-6 yrs of their lives. I know when I first got here I had lots of questions and there was not a lot of people on this site but they all were either going through the same thing or had been through it and had sailors out in the fleet. Now this site has grown to over 2000 members, Dads, Moms,Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, sisters, brothers,girlfriends and boyfriends. Don't be afraid to ask questions of members in here because somewhere along the way we have all had the same questions and asked . There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site with various years of experience in the NAVY either on their own account or through their Sailors.
Again welcome aboard and BRAVO ZULU to you and your son Brandon on his enlistment and please thank him for me for making the choice to defend the freedoms that my family, this country and I have and enjoy.

When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit fathers that follow behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Brandon for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.

My sympathies for a tough situation. (I'm an ex-nuke, and my son just entered the program. I've also held a higher clearance at one point.)
1. Advise everyone who received the email to delete the email immediately. Do not read or forward it.
2. Contact the FBI.
I'm sorry to say that your son is in deep trouble, but he has chosen it. Do not involve yourself or innocent family members in his choice.
Damn. Your son has crossed the line.
