I'm a divorced MOM of two AWESOME kids (now grown). My son has been in the Navy now for about 5 years and my daughter, Lauren, is starting Nursing School in Jan. 2009. MOM IS JUST SOOOOO PROUD!! God has blessed me with wonderful kids. My son is now on his 1st overseas mission and spending his first Christmas away from home. I am a prayer warrior now, for sure!

What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:
I was very proud and knew this would help my son immensely and help him grow up to be the man I want him to be!
Sorry Natalie I'm not sure if you can or not. Check to see if their is a embeded code on the pictures on n4m's. If their is one I imagine you can copy them and then paste them on here. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help. When I checked my page on n4m's I noticed I haven't even posted a picture on their site.
Welcome to NavyDads Natalie! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what he is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric is almost half-way into a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat just returned from her seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Natalie this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Chris is doing! Best Regards- Paul
I know I've waited more than a week, but then my sailors are boht on carriers. Keep in mind that all comm is satellite and while it is pretty good most of the time, weather and problems define up-time I imagine. I'm also guessing that workload has a lot to do with things...your boy may be busy and not be thinking about sitting at a computer to write everyday. Just keep sending...I'm sure he'll get back to you when he either receives them or has enough time to do so. I also know that when the carriers are in a port...I don't excpect anything for a few days.....that is always after the event as we never know where or when they have a port call.....your son have any leave he's taking in the area? Keep the faith--- no news is good news.
