Just over a week folks!  How's everyone holding up?

Getting anxious, I think.  Communication with our son has been significantly reduced past 2 weeks.  No phone calls, and no letter so far this week.  Either they're really busy or something else is going on.  I hope just really busy.

Less communication here too.  I'm pretty sure that's a function of intensive training and prep for battle stations and drill for PIR, not to mention a final PT test (we called it the "run for the gate" back in the day).  They probably are experiencing little sleep, intensive scrutiny and are physically and mentally exhausted by the time they hit the rack.  I wouldn't worry.  Remember, no news is good news.

the lack of comms is normal....just chill and patient......remember they will be in the fleet one of these days and you may go weeks without any mail or email contact.  And yeah....I've had two go thru RTC and yeah I know about the waiting.....trust in the system.....

It's Monday, so it will be here in 4 days!!  We're driving up to Waukegan on Thursday to attend PIR on Friday morning.  I am assuming that our son will ship out to Pensacola early next am, but don't know for sure at this time.  Really looking forward to spending a few hours with him on Friday.  Hopefully we will be able to visit him a little while in Pensacola.
