Navy Dads

We are so happy we received an extended phone call from Evan today from boot camp. He's only been there two weeks and was allowed a 5 min call. He says he is having a blast. (Funny but I thought boot camp was not supposed to be fun). Any how things are going well. He is in Ship 2 division 950 for anyone who has a son/daughter in there.

My daughter started 9/1 I got one call from her saying she was sending her stuff home and haven't heard anything else. when did your son leave?
Hello Tracy, my son started on Aug 26th. We got the initial call that night telling us he made it and was shipping his cell phone and Navy shirt back. We received the package on September 3rd. We received the form letter informing us his ship and division and all other important things on Saturday September 5th and he then called us on Sunday for a 5 minute chat. What I have read is that recruits get 3 calls during boot camp (initial first call, call at 1/2 way point and call right before graduation) sometimes they get privileges to make more calls and my assumption is that they gave him one.
Good luck to your daughter!
Thanks! And good luck with your son as well.
I received my daughters package and letter if all goes well she will graduate on 30th Oct.
Greetings Tracy! My daughter started on 9/1 as well. Received the box on Friday, 9/4 and the form letter today. Looks like she is in Ship 11, Division 362.
My daughter is on same ship Div.361 is her graduation on Oct 30th?

Tracy, it should be 10/30, yes.  Hopefully you have received your form letter by now telling you all you need to know.  I talked to my daughter today and she mentioned that the ladies of 362 and 361 sleep in the same berthing compartment, so maybe our daughters have spoke to each other.

See you there.

Got our first good phone call today! It was so great to hear from our SR Ship 11, Div 362. Hope everyone that shipped around 9/1 gets their call today!
