I wanted to wait till today to post this. My son is in legal holding due to helping a shipmate in bootcamp who was not feeling good. The person had just got news from Salvation Army his brother passed away. It was 3 weeks left for graduation so this young man was all to pieces and crying. My son happened to have an ibuprofen he had for a fever and gave it to the boy. The and my son were friends. The boy didn’t report it someone else reported. When they were asked about it both boys told the truth about it. Once they graduated they were moved to ship 5 in legal holding awaiting captain mast. My son has a good heart he was helping a friend who was grieving. Like he said mom I can’t remember if it was in the manual we learned so much but he just lost his brother. My sons big heart has gotten him and his recruit mate in trouble. I’m praying both boys do not get separated due to such a minor offense right before they get started. As a parent it hurts to know my son is being held back from A school waiting to go to captain mast. The bad think about this they relied on each other all but one in their division because he just didn’t tell on those boys but he told on others in that division. So asking for prayer for all those involved.

Seems to me that because they were allowed to finish boot camp, I'm thinking a captain's mast will only be more of a counseling session and not a separation.
We can only hope that I'm right.
Come to find out it was just a talking too by the rdc’s. He actually got his orders yesterday.
Valuable lesson !!!!! ALWAYS include command !
Yes!!! Woo Hoo!!
