My son is leaving for Great Lakes 7/20

My daughter shipped yesterday and we sat around on pins and needles waiting for that phone call.  Finally came in around 9pm and our girl sounded a little shell-shocked.  Can't wait to get her address, as a Soldier I understand the value of mail and have been writing letters already.  Anybody have any idea on restrictions to mail.  Can Navy recruits keep pictures that come in mail call?

Got the box in the mail today...it was saddening...Was the box supposed to include an address and grad date? It did not, all it had was his clothes....

Hello Richard, yes thats all you will get until a few days, then you will get a letter from your son, my son is in his 3rd week of booth camp. I am waiting for his frist call now, I am so proud of all our young men and young ladies, please join me in keeping them in daily thoughts and prayers.

Hi Jim, I'm John L. and my son is in week 7 at rtc you sould be getting a letter with his address and info this week. I sent my son Ryan a phone card in my first letter to him. and in week 4 I got a call from him. It was so cool to here from him....
