My son just swore in...
Been a couple of weeks, but my son has just only sworn in, They are talking about him shipping off to bootcamp sometime between mid dec to mid feb. He as they say only signed a placer contract and is still waiting for his nuclear contract.
I have never served am proud that he is but I dont like the fact he signed something that was a placer is this normal?

They had him just sign a contract with a date way out in the future to get him into mets, and then are writing a nuke contract to have him sign in the next couple of weeks.

My daughter went through the same thing. I hated the process but it is becoming normal. She got to boot camp last night and I got the 30 second phone call. I hope all works out for your son.
