Looking at the date of this post your sailor may be out of Corps school by now?
Not all go overseas from school, many stay stateside in Hospitals etc then go
to FMTB to become greenside.
They are then hooked up with a Marine unit to train with and them go over.
My son has been in Afganistan and Iraq, hot not a great place to be but they
keep you busy.
STrange as it sounds he wants to go back, his mom not to happy about that
idea and hard on my side also. They change and grow, the kids from yesterday
are now men doing one hell of a job.
Good luck, stay in touch with him, back him up.......they need the words
now and then.
