BS21 typically anywhere from the Sat prior to PIR to Thurs prior to PIR

Do they call after completion of BS21?

Usually Chris they do get to call home after BS21. That's when you get the "I'm a sailor!" call. As far as when Battle Stations is, that is the first bit of classified information that you will encounter.

Battle station was yesterday. 08/02/16. We got a quick call from my son saying he is a "Sailor now". Graduation is still on friday Aug 05.

Im leaving Jersey by car today. My wife and daughter will be flying tomorrow. I hate flying!!!lol  I will be the guy with short gray hair. We are staying till monday.
