Navy Dads

Hi everyone, My son gave me "His Call" yesterday from RTC that he arrived safe. Generally when can we expect the form letter with his address and PIR date?.. We really want to make it out there for Graduation but i need to block off a time frame from work, And are PIR only on Fridays?

about 7-10 days for the letter...unless PIR falls on a Friday holiday, PIR will always be on Friday

Thank you Paul...we are very excited and just have lots of stupid questions even with all our research. Perhaps later at his 3 week call we will feel better. I am a wedding photographer so its hard to block out dates for his PIR without knowing and then the chances of him getting advanced or held back make it even more frustrating .

there are never stupid questions...there may be stupid answers, but we try to avoid those! There are really no advancements...he may end up in a push division- that is a division that is the last to fill for a training group..they will go through RTC in 7 weeks, but since they started training late they still have a PIR according to schedule. Assume all is well and that he doesn't get held back- unless he fails a physical test of some sort (the 1.5 mile run is typically the biggest hurdle) he should do fine and graduate on time with his division.
